PROCESS

An application must be submitted prior to meeting the dog. Once the application is reviewed and approved, a meet and greet time will be scheduled. If the dog and the adopter are a good match, we finalize the adoption. Often times, we get many applications for the same dog. Although many of the applicants could be a great home, we have to make the hard choice as to which "great home" would be the very best home for that particular dog.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the dog. In many cases a senior dog can be less expensive than a younger dog. All our dogs are spayed/neutered. All have received Parvo / distemper vaccine and Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) and micro chipped. All have had a medical health check up, and any individual requirements will be stated in writing.

Veterinary care, feeding and grooming throughout the dog's life will be the major expense of owning a dog. Please consider that when thinking about adopting a dog for life. Our thanks to the over 1,500 families who have adopted one of our wonderful dogs and given them their very own Forever Home!

Aaste062419_1Meet Aaste
Aaste is a stunning Blue Merle Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog. Aaste is 8-years-old and is truly a man's best friend. Aaste is protective and very devoted to her human companion. She tends to listen and direct attention best with her male human companion. She knows basic obedience and is willing and eager to have a job and to please.

Aaste will need a human companion that understands her working breed. She must have daily activity and cannot be left alone outside as she will find a way to escape. Aaste does well with some dogs, but not all. We would have to set up a "meet and greet" to assure a match. Aaste needs a home without children and no cats.

Aaste has killed a chicken in her past, so no chickens should live close by.

Meet Alice & Winston
Alice is a gentle soul. She is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky with one brown and one blue eye and a stunning tri-color coat. She is smaller than many Siberian's and is very gentle, loving and kind-hearted. She has that sweet shyness about her.

Alice's bonded companion is Winston. Winston is a gorgeous all white husky with one brown eye and one blue eye, as well. He is deeply committed to Alice and is very loving and attached to her. He is high energy and thrives on running and playing chase. Winston is just over one-year-old. These two beauties were rescued together and we have decided that they need to stay together when they are adopted to their forever home and family.

Both Alice and Winston are very active and have the classic Husky disposition that demands a lot of interaction, attention and activity. They will do well with human companions that are active and are home more than they are gone. Alice would make a phenomenal therapy or emotional support dog because she is so calm and balanced. Winston needs to be with Alice and to have a job to do. Both would love hiking and long walks and hard play.

Alice and Winston both graduated of our Clallam Bay Corrections Center Dog Training Program and know basic obedience.

Alice and Winston will do best with no children under five-years-old due to their activity level. They should not be with cats. Husky's can be escape artists so they will need a secure, fenced yard where they feel safe and secure.

Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high.

Andy042819ConfirmationMeet Andy
Andy is a striking and sweet 2-year-old Whippet with some Border Collie thrown in for good measure. His markings are stunning and his confirmation is beautiful and sleek. His size leans toward the Whippet.

Andy is still very much a kid and needs someone to build his confidence and reassure him through positive reinforcement and commitment. Andy loves to play ball, but is not obsessed, but he does play hard and can be a bit overbearing, so if you have a large female canine companion, she should be young and active. We would have to do a "meet and greet" to confirm compatibility. No cats and no children, please. Thank you.

Andy would be a wonderful hiking and trail walking dog. He loves to take walks and he loves to be out. He does have anxiety being left alone in a room or house, so he would need a yard.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high.

Mylo040119_1Meet Louie
Louie is a 6-year-old Hound/Whippet mix with tremendous character and a very silly side. He is an ideal size dog coming in at about 45-50 pounds and has a beautiful tri-color coat.

The hound in Louie loves to sniff and he has been known to dig a nice size hole and then simply flop in it on warm days. He is funny as all get out and can almost always be seen smiling from cheek to cheek. Louie loves to run and play and the kid in him really enjoys a good game of tag.

He has had a difficult time adapting to losing his home and has become fearful of some dogs. We feel he would enjoy a canine companion, but we would need to do a "meet and greet" to make sure of compatibility. He would not do well with cats, as the hound in him loves to chase. We don't know about children at this point.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Cooper040419_3Meet Mr. Cooper
We are seeking a final forever home for this dear boy. Mr. Cooper is a 12-year-old Labrador Retriever/Boxer mix. He came to WAG because his elderly human companion can no longer care for him. He is sweet, loving, gets along with other dogs and enjoys short walks. He is really a jewel.

Owner surrenders due to aging are very common, but also very heartbreaking. Mr. Cooper is having a difficult time with the transition and would do best in a quiet and calm home environment where he is honored and attended to.

His health is good though his eye sight/hearing is diminished and he does have some lumps and bumps from age. He is on an arthritis nutritional supplement.

Mr. Cooper would love a yard to wander in and to feel safe and secure in. Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high.

Can you say, "Siberian Husky?" This girl is magnificent and sweet as can be. Nikita is almost one-year-old and is still growing into her self. She has a beautiful temperament and is very devoted to her human companions. She is currently blowing her baby coat and is going to be an apricot/red/cream color.

Nikita is a graduate of our Clallam Bay Corrections Center Dog Training Program and knows basic obedience and is good on leash. Like all Husky's Nikita does not like being left alone and craves human and canine interaction. She will need human companions that want to include her in their daily life and are very active.

Nikita loves other dogs and we want her to have a canine companion as she loves to run and play...for hours. No cats. No children under the age of ten, please. Thank you.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Meet Shasta: Shasta is a people lover and a good soul. This boy is a 4-year-old Shepherd mix who is very strong and very enthusiastic. He loves to roam, take long walks, hike and play hard. Shasta loves other dogs and is always looking to make new friends.

Shasta would love a canine companion to play with and burn energy with. He seems to be okay with cats. He would make a lovely family dog, but we recommend children over the age of 10-years-old due to his size and strength.

Shasta tends to have seasonal allergies and is on an inexpensive medication during spring/summer. They subside in the fall.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Meet Sylvee: Sylvee is a 6-month-old hauntingly beautiful Shepherd mix. Her black coat is thick and is sprinkled with silver highlights which make her almost iridescent. Sylvee is just a pup and is very social, very sweet and craves attention and affection. She is good with other dogs, but she is going to grow to be a large dog, so we recommend large dog playmates. She will definitely need a buddy to play with and bond with as a mentor.

Sylvee's heels are slightly collapsed, we assume from being crated too much and lack of exercise. This will correct itself with walks and lots of play time. Sylvee will need an active human companion and would be a great dog for hiking, camping and adventures as she is very social and loves people.

Sylvee will need a large fenced yard. Please no children under the age of ten. We don't know about cats at this juncture. Sylvee will need house training, she is still a puppy and sadly, was not potty trained properly.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high.

Meet Willow:

Willow is an almost 2-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever. Willow is busting with joy and enthusiasm and seems to love everybody. She is very sweet and very interactive. Willow is very ball focused and loves to fetch and loves toys. She can be possessive, so you need to know how to ask her to "leave it" and to release the ball. She plays well with other dogs and loves a good game of chase.

Willow would love a canine companion and will need a family that is active and loves to take long walks. She is excellent on leash and knows her basic commands from our CBCC Dog Training Program. Please no children under ten years-old as Willow can be ball/toy possessive.

Most of our dogs require a fully fenced yard, this does depend on the individual dogs needs and safety requirements.

Our dogs are fed a nutrient rich dog food named NutriSource. Our experience is a high quality dog food keeps vet bills down and well-being high.
